My Life and Family

I created this blog mainly to discuss everyday topics as well as experiences that I've had with my daughter, Kaitlin. Once in a while, i'll blog about other things...perhaps more to vent then anything. My little public diary, as i'd like to call it. Feel free to chime in at any time, but please don't be too harsh. Thanks!

These are the moments ...

I'm always complaining to my hubby about how when he's off, all we ever really do is run errands. We never get to do anything fun or family oriented. So...with that being said, we decided to finally dedicate one of his days off to just having a good time as a family.

Yesterday was the first time in a long time that we got to do something truly memorable and exciting. Since I was a little girl, I always promised myself that when I had my own children, I would take them to "The Children's Discovery Museum". Sure enough, that was the first place that came to mind. Grant it, Kaylee probably wouldn't have much to do (or so I thought), but the experience would be both fun and educational.

It wasn't at all expensive to get in. $9 for adults, $4 for kids and a discount for anyone who had a membership. Kaitlin LOVED it there. She had the most fun in the water area, but there was just so many things to do there! There was even an area for children 4 and under! Kaylee, unfortunately fell asleep when we got to that part of the museum, but I would like to think she was pooped more from having such a grand time and not from boredom.

After all that excitement at the museum, we decided to make our way to a local pumpkin patch.

Here are a few photos of the girls at the pumpkin patch. Mostly of Kaitlin because Kaylee can't get around quite as well yet.

The kids truly had a wonderful time. To see the curiosity and joy in their eyes all at the same time really makes these experiences worthwhile. People always tell me to wait to do those things until they get older so they can remember it better, but that's what cameras and pictures are for. I want to experience and enjoy every minute I have with my family (especially my girls). These are the moments that last a lifetime, and whether they remember these moments or not, it doesn't really matter. It's the fact that I get to share these moments with them and I, for sure will never forget them.
